One of the most time consuming things as the manager for a new brand is figuring out how to increase your Facebook likes,
and how to get more people to follow you (or become your fans).
Fortunately, we found out that the key is a pretty simple thing. And it’s just one key– emotional influence.
Majority of the people who like business’ pages on Facebook were moved by influence the overall message the page had about
relationships, or things that had an emotional connect. Transactional offers and incentives ranked as the second biggest
influencer– people very easily liked a page to avail discounts and coupons.
So, just as in any relationship, if you want fans who will stay with your brand for a longer time and actually
interact with your business, you’ll have to work to gain their trust and get ground with their emotional connect.
Once you do have a fanbase that interacts with you and is happy to do so, you could go on to incentive-based promotion
to drive your popularity… but that’s a topic for later.
